Respite services are a valuable form of support available to families, children, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who qualify for respite care through the Regional Center. The term "respite" signifies a much-needed "break" or "relief." These services are thoughtfully designed to provide families with the opportunity to take a step back from caregiving responsibilities.

Authorized and fully funded through our partnership with the Regional Center, Vienesta Respite, Inc. enters into contracts that fund a set number of limited hours for eligible Regional Center clients.

The authorized number of hours is individualized, taking into account each person's specific needs, abilities, and the distinctive dynamics within their family. The determination of hours is overseen by the client's Regional Center Service Coordinator.

Our dedicated team of Respite Care Specialists offers a diverse range of support options for respite clients both In-Home or Out of Home. These can include engaging in recreational activities, visiting parks, fostering social skills, assisting with academic tasks, accompanying to lessons or appointments with the family and/or guardian, and, most importantly, ensuring a delightful and enjoyable experience.
